He showed the ability to play outside at tackle as well as at guard today, and he was effective against every player except for Quinton Coples who was able to beat him on a couple of 1 on 1’s. He’s agile for his size and in talking to scouts they didn’t think his occasional waist-bending was a serious issue. He has the potential to play at four offensive lineman positions. He is strong enough and has a good enough anchor that he can recover if he’s initially pushed back, which enabled him to slow down…

  • Luxury Oceanfront Condominiums in Boca Raton- What is Selling?

    Susan Reiter
    27 Sep 2011 | 6:10 pm
There are a handful of  relatively newer luxury oceanfront condominium in Boca Raton. They are Addison on the Ocean, Aragon, Excelsior, Luxuria, One Thousand Ocean, and Presidential Place. On the west side of A1A is Mizner Grand worthy of inclusion.  The readers of my blog know that I value the word luxury and use it sparingly. Due to strict building codes in Boca Raton, all the oceanfront condominiums are mid rise buildings averaging 7-10 stories high.  These wonderful properties are mostly boutique style…

In the past 90 days 17 waterfront homes over $1million have closed in either Broward or Dade counties.  Those counties include Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Golden Beach, Sunny Isles, Hallandale/Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale by the Sea,…

But that is the kind of logic Miami-Dade lobbyists and appointees embraced, in the run-up to the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Watch what they do, now.” -Local blogging powerhouse GeniusofDespair from Eye On Miami on the proposed 5-year work plan of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority which would…

We need your help now to protect the Everglades. Miami-Dade Expressway Authority is planning to expand the 836 Dolphin Expressway west toward Krome Avenue and then south to Tamiami Airport. This project would accelerate westward development, threaten agriculture, and threaten Everglades restoration. Please email written comments to tgarcia@mdxway.com by this Friday, January 27, 2012. Here’s a sample comment to cut and paste or put in your own words. I ask the MDX board to remove the 836/Dolphin Expressway Southwest Extension (project 83618) from its 5-year plan. I question the necessity…

Miami-Dade Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Formally Endorses Project It may seem hard to believe but one particular Miami neighborhood has a parking problem – with bicycles! Miami’s Wynood Arts District, specifically the commercial district of NW 2nd Avenue between NW 20th street and NW 29th street is rapidly becoming a hub for Miami’s emerging cycling community. Several local businesses in the area cater to this diverse group, and the evidence is plainly visible. On any given day or evening, this stretch of NW 2nd Ave. is filled with bicycles. However, the growing number of…

We all know that news reporting in South Florida, if not America, is a lost and dead art. But there still is a need for citizens to be able to quickly see what is going on within our community. Sadly, one of the absolute worse “newspapers online” is the Florida Sun-Sentinel.  They remind me of the old National Enquirer in their more disgusting days. Here are the main news stories on the front page of the Sin-Sensational website today as of 9:30 am today. What is at stake is including this project in the MDX 5-year plan. Stephen Cody Represented Natacha Seijas during the Recall. The big question always comes down to: Who is paying Stephen Cody? He doesn't appear to do work when he isn't paid. He charged Natacha Seijas and her PAC's a small fortune over the years. He has had a shadow client before like he has in Miami Lakes. He tried to get Eugene Flinn thrown out of the District 8 County Commission race. Who paid him for that? No one knows. We have an example of the importance that Cody puts on getting paid in a recent (4/13/2011) Florida Bar "Admonishment" where he was fined about $2,000 for minor misconduct.

Last year, we turned down proposed charter amendments that made a mockery of our needs. This year, we are still not getting what we want, but at least it got better...better enough to vote YES. Most residents do not want to compromise, but in this case, it seems to be a necessary evil. Voting YES will ensure that residents and grassroots organizations will have more time to collect petition signatures for Charter amendments, without having to rely on Commissioners to put them on the ballot. Beyond that, we get to put an end to perpetual incumbency by voting YES on the second amendment,…

You want to ensure that you have an unparalleled outcome both aesthetically and personally, as your doctor becomes your “beauty partner,” enhancing your appearance physically and emotionally. In the land of before and after photos, it’s important to note that cosmetic surgeons and plastic surgeons are not one in the same. The differences will help you when choosing a surgeon for a procedure. On the surface, it may seem like there is very little difference. Cosmetic surgery is focused on surgical procedures that enhance a person’s appearance. Reconstructive surgery specializes in correcting body abnormities caused by trauma, disease, birth defects, and other problems. While most plastic surgeons have the training needed to do both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, no…
